The White Horse Charity Bike Ride

27/05/2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for a charity bike ride in aid of Cancer Research UK!

The easy 11-mile route is suitable for riders of all ages.  We’ll start from The White Horse and take in a scenic route that passes through the Borough’s lovely villages.

Arrive at 9:30am for complimentary bacon rolls and tea/coffee before setting off. On your return, you can celebrate your cycling success with real ales from the Brentwood Brewing Company and a complimentary BBQ.

A registration fee of £10 per person (cyclists under 16 enter for free) is payable at the start of the ride to cover the cost of organising the event. Any additional sponsorship funds you raise powers CRUK’s life saving research.

I agree that I understand and will abide by the terms and conditions required by the event organisers for the safe participation in this activity and to act responsibly and adhere to the rules of the road and countryside. Marshals, if they are used, are solely to indicate the direction and it is my responsibility to ensure that any manoeuvre is carried out safely. I hereby maintain that I am fit and healthy enough to participate in the activity described above and my cycle is in a safe, legal and roadworthy condition. I also accept that The White Horse or British Heart Foundation cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability during the event. Parents or guardians of young people under 18 must also understand the demands of the cycling activity and that they alone can make the decision about the ability of their child to complete it and that the child may cycle with other adults and/or with other children. While The White Horse extends a welcome to cyclists of all ages and abilities, no special provision for children is made; arrangements to get to and from the event are the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian; DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks may not have been done on event organisers or ride leaders. The White Horse and its members, agents and other participants may take photographs during the course of an event, mostly for private use but some may be for local or national publicity purposes. It may be difficult to ensure that photographs in which your child appears will not be used in any way.
